A June Full Of Fun

At MakeMyTrip, we surely know how to live up to the title of the ‘Most Happening Workplace’, and how! Appraisals, promotions, Hackathon, Town Hall meets; there never really is a dull moment at  Tripper Villa.

Continuing our ‘Go Green Drive’ from May and adding to our CSR initiatives, Trippers braved the scorching heat as they planted saplings in and around the MakeMyTrip Gurgaon office. Trippers, including members of the Leadership Team turned up in large numbers, living up the spirit of our ‘Bleed Green’ initiative that kicked-off last month.  Kudos to all these Trippers!

Commenting on a picture of my team in beachwear, a surprised friend asked if it really was a day in office. If you walked into any MakeMyTrip office on Friday, June 15^th, you’d have been in for a surprise too as all MakeMyTrip offices across the country celebrated Maldives and Mauritius (Beach) Day.

While business carried on as usual, the day saw Trippers dressed in colourful (and creative!) beach casuals. There was a flood of floral shirts, Bermuda shorts, floaters, hats, wrap-around skirts and dresses! The Gurgaon office was decorated with hammocks and palm trees (fake, but never mind!) to set the perfect mood for a day full of beach fun. Have a look and be the judge.

The sunniest part of the day was the fashion show at the Gurgaon office. Trippers set the ramp on fire; strutting their stuff! If not for their jobs, these Trippers could give the supermodels of the world a run for their money.  To add to the flavour, chilling mocktails, coconut water and spicy snacks were served. Plenty of prizes were to be won by the best dressed Trippers and those who answered the trivia questions asked during the fashion parade.

Even after all this, the fun just doesn’t seem to end. As I write this, a group of children from Udayan Care are presenting a talent show in the office. Watch this space for more details on the show.
