Happy Birthday MakeMyTrip

Chaos – one which was designed, orchestrated and hoped for, one where there were no victims, only ecstatic, enthusiastic participants! I’m talking about none other than MakeMyTrip’s 7th anniversary bash.

MakeMyTrip India Operations completed seven successful years on September 6, 2012. Since then, not only have we become the market leaders in the travel segment but have also repeatedly become one of the best places to work.

Back to the celebrations…

The Mission – Celebrate and have fun

The Perpetrators –Trippers across India

The Masterminds – Human Resource Folks

The Weapons –A blow-horn, a birthday cap and a strong pair of lungs

08:30 hrs – The day started with Trippers finding a blow-horn and a birthday cap on their respective workstations. The ones with more experience in the art of mischief immediately put to good use both, the blow-horns and the caps. Others joined in when they heard the war cry of their comrades.

13:25 hrs – Lunch time – the time when the blow-horns were put to their maximum use!

16:15 hrs –Just when it looked like everyone had settled down and there was a hint of the storm passing, in came Ravi and Anuj – with big sturdy ropes in their hands. TUG OF WAR!

War it was as the teams fiercely competed against each other. Trippers cheered on and after an intense duel that saw Abhishek Mishra take a fall, the sturdier team won. Kudos and congrats to them!

17:00 hrs – Then came the moment that we’d all been waiting for since the morning – the cake! Two huge (and very delicious) cakes were brought to the party in each of the cafeterias. A sea of eager Trippers blowing their blow-horns cheered  Manish and Purva to cut the cake on the 4th floor while Deep did the honours on the ground floor cafeteria

17:30 hrs – As the day ended, the MakeMyTrip family had but one wish – may days like this keep coming for years and years; that we, the Trippers, shall always be ‘the Trippers’!

Mission Status – Successful

 Over and out!
